Another exciting event is scheduled to be held at TUL this year - the 26th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics will take place in Lodz on 8th-11th July.
The main objective of the Conference is to present and review the latest achievements in computer methods in mechanics. The three-day conference will be filled with a variety of session formats, with a balance of research and practice to permit the widest possible participation, providing an excellent forum to exchange ideas and to progress the field.
The 26th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics continues the 50-year-old series of conferences dedicated to numerical methods and their applications in the mechanics-based problems. The scientific meetings, organized biannually since 1973, provide a forum for presentation and discussion of new ideas referring to theoretical background and practical applications of computational mechanics.
The conference is going to take place on 8th-11th July at Lodz University of Technology. During the event, plenary and keynote lectures, joint sessions and parallel sessions, as well as oral and poster presentations will be delivered in the auditoria and lecture rooms of Alchemium Conference Center and Computer Technology Center, both located on campus. More details are available on the event's website:
The organisers also prepared interesting social activities for conference participants, including a site visit to TUL's Sports Bay Centre as well as and sightseeing trips to Manufaktura (former I.K. Poznański factory, now an impressive cultural and commercial centre), the EC1 Science & Technology Centre located in a former Heat Power Station and Geyer's Gardens, one of Lodz's a flagship examples of successful revitalisation of postindustrial sites.
If you are a researcher and your interests overlap with the wide range of conference topics, it is still not too late to submit an abstract - the deadline falls on 28th February.
