The ECIU University is introducing a new initiative, the ECIU Student Leadership Development Programme, designed to bring together active, forward-thinking students from across Europe. The first edition will take place in early December at Lodz University of Technology, gathering more than 40 students from 12 partner universities.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the second edition, jointly organised by the University of Trento’s School of Innovation, the University of Twente, and ECIU. The event, titled “Navigating the Future of Universities in Europe”, is now open for applications on the Engage platform.
The programme follows the Erasmus+ Short-Term Mobility model, combining online and in-person components:
-
Virtual phase: 9 February – 19 March 2026
-
In-person week in Trento: 23 – 27 February 2026
Participants will explore key questions about the evolving role of universities in Europe, engage in workshops and team challenges, and earn 3 ECTS credits upon successful completion.
Around 20 students will be selected to take part, including 1 ECIU Student Ambassador per partner university and 8 additional spots for other students.
Applications are open until 21 November 2025. Given the strong interest expected, we'd like to encourage TUL students to prepare well-crafted, thoughtful applications that clearly highlight their motivation and engagement.
