ECIU-life
The aim of the project is to help Ukrainian Universities to support international integration in these difficult times, by bringing them closer to the European Universities Initiative. During a 1-year project, 10 partner universities from Ukraine will be involved in the supporting cooperation and academic exchange activities carried out by the ECIU.
The project will be implemented by:
- enabling staff, PhD students and students of Ukrainian universities to participate in innovative, short learning experiences, offered exclusively within the ECIU network (micro-modules, challenges) – micromodules are the future of European Higher Education, and so with the help of ECIU, learners from Ukraine will be able to experience this innovative study approach;
- participation of the Ukrainian academic community in study visits, internships, summer schools, seminars, workshops, trainings, and courses organized by universities from ECIU. The project envisages the direct involvement of participants in the above-mentioned activities at the respective university, as well as in a remote form, in case the "offline" form is not possible;
- enabling the Ukrainian academic community to participate in conferences organized by ECIU universities, including the SMART-ER conference, a conference on a joint research project of ECIU universities – this is a perfect possibility to establish scientific contacts between both sides;
- consultation and training to transfer the knowledge and experience of the ECIU alliance in modern educational methods and forms, e.g. challenge-based learning, micromodules, etc. to the Ukrainian partners; among others, the special training would be held by the CHEPS (the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies) – a highly-respected research institute at the University of Twente, which offers research, training, and consultancies on various aspects of higher education policy, particularly from an international comparative perspective;
- increasing the awareness of the Ukrainian academic community about the European Universities Initiative, specifically the ECIU. Implementation is planned in the form of a series of videos in the Ukrainian language addressed to students and staff, and in the form of printed information and promotional materials.
The project would be implemented within 2023. The total budget of the project received from NAWA is 1 000 000 PLN.
