The year 2025 was another very intensive period for Lodz University of Technology within our membership in the ECIU alliance. Important international events took place on the TUL campus, students actively participated in the ECIU educational offer, university staff engaged in projects carried out together with partners from across Europe, and the International Cooperation Centre building gained visible ECIU branding, making TUL’s membership in the consortium even more noticeable on campus.
Key events of the year 🌍
✨ ECIU Hackathon in Tampere – as many as 10 students from Lodz University of Technology took part, making our university the most strongly represented among consortium partners
✨ ECIU Creathon in Aveiro – students from Lodz University of Technology participated in one of the flagship events of the ECIU community, aimed at integrating students from partner universities and working together on solutions to real-life challenges
✨ ECIU University Forum in Trento – the most important networking event of the year for the entire alliance, attended by students, researchers and administrative staff from Lodz University of Technology
✨ ECIU Board & associated meetings in Łódź – Lodz University of Technology hosted the ECIU Board meeting along with numerous expert meetings, gathering over 80 international guests from partner universities
✨ ECIU Student Council on the TUL campus – Łódź became the meeting point for student representatives from across the ECIU network
✨ ECIU Student Leadership Development Programme – a five-day event for ECIU Ambassadors, attended by over 40 students and experts from partner universities
🔬 ECIU research programmes – in 2025, researchers from Lodz University of Technology could apply for initiatives supporting international scientific collaboration, such as the ECIU Researcher Mobility Fund (RMF), ECIU Seed Programme and ECIU Research Labs. These programmes enable the development of joint research projects and the preparation of international grant applications.

🔹 74 blended and/or physical mobilities – this is how many students completed modules delivered in a blended learning format (combining online classes with short visits to partner universities) or took part in other short-term mobilities, such as central events like the ECIU University Forum or Creathon
