TUL at ECIU University Forum 2025

Body
On June 10–11, 2025, the picturesque city of Trento, Italy, became the meeting point for over 200 participants from 13 countries during this year’s ECIU University Forum, hosted by Università di Trento. It brought together students, researchers, teachers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to exchange ideas and shape the future of European education and research.

TUL with a Strong Presence

Lodz University of Technology (TUL) was proud to be strongly represented at the Forum—with a diverse delegation of six students, four researchers, and five administrative staff members. Our students played a central role in three different panel sessions, participating as speakers and co-organisers. One of the highlights was an interactive workshop led by ECIU Ambassadors, who showcased their original educational game, Ooga Booga. The game sparked interest from the wider community, and preliminary talks are now underway regarding its potential patenting with support from the ECIU network.

TUL staff were equally engaged: Wojciech Zagrodny, Barbara Konarzewska, and Daria Bobovkina co-hosted various panels and discussions, sharing insights, leading dialogue, and strengthening connections across universities.

Innovation, Connection, and Community

The two-day Forum offered dozens of sessions and workshops that encouraged participants to reflect deeply and collaboratively on the question: How can we genuinely cooperate in uncertain times? Despite the challenges the world faces, the energy at Trento was described by many as positive, innovative, and connecting—a true embodiment of the ECIU spirit.

Beyond the formal agenda, the Forum created valuable space for informal exchanges, idea-sharing, and cross-institutional networking. It reaffirmed what makes the ECIU University unique: a shared commitment to shaping education that is agile, collaborative, and focused on real-world impact.

Looking Ahead

TUL is proud to be part of this dynamic and forward-thinking community. As the ECIU University continues to grow, so does our dedication to contributing actively—whether through student innovation, academic collaboration, or institutional partnerships.

We’re already looking forward to the next edition of the Forum—and we encourage students, researchers, academic staff, and administrators across TUL to consider joining future events. These are rare and valuable opportunities to make your voice heard, connect with peers across Europe, and be part of building a more sustainable, innovative educational future.
