From December 4th to 6th 2024, we proudly represented Lodz University of Technology as ECIU University Student Ambassadors at the Training Days held in Strasbourg, France. This inspiring three-day event brought together enthusiastic ambassadors from across Europe to enhance their leadership skills, foster intercultural understanding, and strengthen collaboration.
As ambassadors of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), our role is to promote the consortium’s mission of innovation and collaboration within our academic community. Daniyar, an Information Technology student, and Alicja, a Business and Technology student, both share a passion for fostering international cooperation and pushing the boundaries of traditional education.
The Training Days in Strasbourg offered a diverse program aimed at equipping us with essential skills for our ambassadorial roles. Key sessions included:
Leadership Training: We participated in workshops that honed our communication and decision-making skills, essential for driving ECIU’s mission forward.
Intercultural Competence Development: These sessions were invaluable in exploring cultural exchange and generating innovative ideas in a diverse environment.
Collaborative Networking: Meeting fellow ambassadors from partner universities expanded our perspectives and inspired new initiatives.
Additionally, the program included a visit to the European Parliament, a symbol of unity and democracy, and an opportunity to experience the magical Strasbourg Christmas Market.

“Participating in this event was truly transformative. The discussions and workshops challenged us to think differently and connect with like-minded peers dedicated to innovation. The experience was not only about gaining new skills but also about building relationships and seeing the bigger picture of collaboration in Europe. Strasbourg’s beauty added a special touch to the entire event.”
This is what Alicja thinks:
“I absolutely loved our time in Strasbourg! It was such a productive and inspiring experience, made truly unforgettable thanks to everyone involved. I’m proud to say that we not only gained valuable knowledge but also built an incredible community where we can always rely on one another, no matter what.”
Our time in Strasbourg has reaffirmed our commitment to the ECIU values of innovation and cooperation. We are excited to bring the knowledge and enthusiasm from the Training Days back to Lodz University of Technology, where we will work to inspire our peers and promote collaborative initiatives.
