The second edition of the ECIU Research Mobility Fund has been launched. The application period ends on 30th January 2026.

The ECIU University Forum is returning in 2026 – set to take place on June 16-17th at the University of Aveiro in Portugal. With preparations underway, members of the ECIU University community can submit their session proposals until 22nd December.

In October, TUL hosted students from the Portugal and Lithuania, who came to Lodz to join our students in tackling a Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) task titled Sustainable Transitions & Reliable Engineering for Automated Manufacturing (STREAM).

Lodz University of Technology hosted nearly 90 representatives of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), representing 12 partner universities from Europe and one from Mexico. The event, held on 23–26 September 2025, was a series of key meetings, including the ECIU Board session.

Last week, eight ECIU groups came together at Łódź University of Technology. At the core of the meetings were the developments in Brussels regarding the proposed next multiannual EU budget and programmes, as well as the opportunities for the ECIU and its ECIU University Alliance.

Between 23 and 26 September, Lodz University of Technology will welcome nearly 90 representatives from 12 European universities and one university from Mexico, all members of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU).

Until 31st of October 2025, researchers from 6 ECIU member universities, including TUL, can submit proposals for the 2nd Edition of the ECIU Seed Programme. The call welcomes diverse expertise from both early-career and established researchers, however, proposals must be submitted by teams including researchers from at least three ECIU member institutions.

Lodz University of Technology will host the ECIU Board in September. This important event will bring together representatives of 12 European universities and 1 from Mexico involved in joint activities for innovative education, scientific research and solving global social challenges.

TUL, together with Linköping University and the University of Aveiro, has won €39,000 funding under the CoARA Second Boost call for the DIVERSE+ project. Over the next year, the partners will develop new approaches to recognising diverse research contributions and prioritising qualitative evaluation.

Latest ECIU statistics: over the past two academic years, our students have completed nearly 700 modules and visited partner university campuses in Europe more than 120 times!

The event brought together students from various countries within the ECIU network, who spent a week tackling real-world managerial challenges in a simulated business environment.
