Between 23 and 26 September, Lodz University of Technology will welcome nearly 90 representatives from 12 European universities and one university from Mexico, all members of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU).

As the new academic year begins, ECIU University invites students to join its latest Challenges and micro-modules. Discover 60 learning opportunities currently open for application and get a unique chance to develop crucial skills for your career, connect with peers and businesses, and make an impact.

Until 31st of October 2025, researchers from 6 ECIU member universities, including TUL, can submit proposals for the 2nd Edition of the ECIU Seed Programme. The call welcomes diverse expertise from both early-career and established researchers, however, proposals must be submitted by teams including researchers from at least three ECIU member institutions.

We encourage all TUL students to explore the Engage course catalogue and discover the wide range of micro-modules and challenges available across the ECIU University network. Make sure to check out two exciting opportunities offered by Dublin City University – each worth 7.5 ECTS credits. Applications close on 24 August, so apply now!

Lodz University of Technology will host the ECIU Board in September. This important event will bring together representatives of 12 European universities and 1 from Mexico involved in joint activities for innovative education, scientific research and solving global social challenges.

TUL, together with Linköping University and the University of Aveiro, has won €39,000 funding under the CoARA Second Boost call for the DIVERSE+ project. Over the next year, the partners will develop new approaches to recognising diverse research contributions and prioritising qualitative evaluation.

The European Student Assembly (ESA) is a multi-month project that brings together students from various organisations across Europe to collaboratively develop proposals for the future direction of the European Union.

On June 10–11, 2025, the picturesque city of Trento, Italy, became the meeting point for over 200 participants from 13 countries during this year’s ECIU University Forum, hosted by Università di Trento. It brought together students, researchers, teachers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to exchange ideas and shape the future of European education and research.
