ECIU was awarded the Co-Create to Educate: International Collaboration Award for the development of the Engage platform during the Joint and Double Programmes in Europe conference, held in late 2025 in Lodz.

On March 19–20, the third edition of the ECIU User Focus Groups will take place at the University of Stavanger (Norway). Applications are open until January 20, and final-year students with prior ECIU experience are especially encouraged to apply.

The ECIU University Creathon 2026 will bring together students from across the ECIU Alliance to co-create inclusive solutions at the intersection of care, community and mobility. Taking place in Barcelona in May 2026, this intensive challenge invites participants to work with real stakeholders on pressing urban and rural challenges in Catalonia.

Deadline extended till 9.01.2026!!! The ECIU University Forum will take place on June 16-17th at the University of Aveiro in Portugal. With preparations underway, members of the ECIU University community can submit their session proposals until 9 January 2026.

In October, TUL hosted students from the Portugal and Lithuania, who came to Lodz to join our students in tackling a Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) task titled Sustainable Transitions & Reliable Engineering for Automated Manufacturing (STREAM).

As the ECIU prepares to launch its first Student Leadership Development Programme in Łódź this December, the next edition — led by the University of Trento and the University of Twente and schedule to take place in winter next year— is already inviting new participants.

Lodz University of Technology hosted nearly 90 representatives of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), representing 12 partner universities from Europe and one from Mexico. The event, held on 23–26 September 2025, was a series of key meetings, including the ECIU Board session.
